Itinerary for 4 Days from Fes to desert

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erg Chebbi Dunes.

On our first day of the three days tour to the desert, we start early in the morning by picking you up at 08AM. Then we depart to discover the amazing south of Morocco. We start driving, until we make our first stop in Ifrane city, or the Switzerland of Morocco. After that, we drive again to Azrou to see and play with the naughty apps in the cedar forest.

In the afternoon, we continue driving passing by the Tizi N Talghamt pass, Ziz Gorges, and the Errachidia city. Making a stop to admire the panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Continuing through Aoufous, and Erfoud, to get finally to Merzouga city, where we will have diner and spend the night at a Hotel.

Day 2: Merzouga – Hassi labied – Khamlia – Nomad family – fossil Site – Tour of the dunes

Today’s program is all about discovering the desert area and its inhabitants. We start our day, as always by having breakfast, then we will take on a 4×4 trip to visit the black volcanic rocks of marble fossils, and the nomad families living in tents. Afterwards we will visit the Khamlia village, home of the Gnawa music. Next place to visit is the lake of Merzouga or ‘Dayte Sarji’ as the locals call it, the lake forms in springtime which attract pink flamingos and wildlife.

Our lunch and break would be in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. Next, we will visit the nearby Oases, then we will get back to the hotel. On the hotel, and after relaxing with some cup of tea, we will ride camels heading to the camp where we will spend the night; the camp is in the middle of the dunes. We will enjoy the camel trekking experience along with the sunset scenery. The night is spent in Berber tents at the camp.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi Dune-Erfoud-Tinejdad-Todra Gorges-Boumalne Du Dades-Kelaa M’gouna

On the third day of our four days desert tour, we will wake up early to enjoy the sunrise. After that, we will have breakfast. Next, we ride camels back on an amazing camel trekking experience. At the hotel you may have a shower if you would like.

Our next destination would be Tinghir, therefore we start driving passing by Erfoud and Tinjdad, making a break to have lunch, then continuing towards Todra Gorges. In Todra we will have the time to admire the magnificent 1500m high canyons, you may go on a trek, take pictures and discover the place as you want. Next, we will head to Boumalne Dades or Kalla Mgouna, and we will have our dinner at a hotel where we will spend the night.

 Day 4: Boumalne Du Dades-Kelaa M’gouna-Ouarzazate-Ait Benhaddou-Tizi N’tichka Pass-Marrakech

This the fourth day of our journey together, today we will drive back to Marrakech. But first we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios. Then we will visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where we will have lunch, on a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, we will start getting back to Marrakech, driving back via the Atlas Mountains and Tichka pass. In Marrakech we will drop you off at your hotel/the airport… etc.
