Itinerary for 3 Days from Marrakech to desert

Day 1: Marrakesh – Ait Ben Haddou- Ouarzazate- Dades Valley.

Our 3 days tour from Marrakech to the desert of Merzouga, start at 08AM by picking you up from your Hotel. Leaving Marrakech behind us, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, pass via the Tichka pass, to get to the fortified Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou. The Kasbah is so famous in Morocco and across the world, and has host many movies, it is also a world heritage site by the UNESCO since 1987.

After having lunch, we will continue our journey passing by Ouarzazate, Skoura Oasis, Kalaat M’Gouna, the valley of Roses, until we arrive to Dades gorges were we would spend the night at a guesthouse. Along the road we my stop to appreciate some landscapes and ruins or taking pictures.

 Day 2: Dades – Todgha Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga.

We will start the day by having breakfast. Then you will have a free time to wander along the river, before we head to Todgha gorges. We will have lunch, either on Todgha or later on a bivouac at the dunes of the Erg Chebbi.

Along the road to the Erg Chebbi, we will pass via the Ziz Valley, Erfoud and Rissani. When we arrive, you will have the chance to witness the sunset over the 250m high dunes. After that, we will enjoy dinner at a nomad tent at the foot of the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga – Tazzarine – Agdz – Marrakesh.

For today’s program, we need to wake up early to catch the sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. After that, we will have breakfast before heading back to Marrakech, passing along the Draa Valley, Saghro Mountains and the Tazzarine villages, where some scenes of the movie ‘Babel’ was filmed. At the Nkob, we will have lunch admiring the mountain scenery in front of us.

In the afternoon, we will continue our journey driving, until we pass by the Draa Valley, the valley contains huge numbers of palms and old Kasbahs. Then we will drive directly to Marrakech, passing by many Kasbahs, such as the Tamnougalt Kasbah. In the early evening, we will reach Marrakech, where we will drop you off.
