Itinerary for 6 Days from Marrakech to desert

Day 1 : Marrakech – Telouet – Ouarzazate

As usual, we will start our journey by picking you up from your hotel early in the morning. Then we will head towards Telouet, passing the High Atlas Mountains, and crossing the 2260m high Tizi N Tichka Pass. Upon arriving, we will visit the Glaoui Place (Telouet Kasbah), and have lunch there.

In the afternoon, we will head to the fortified Kasbah, and UNESCO world heritage site of Ait ben Haddou, and then we will visit the Hollywood of Morocco! Ouarzazate city, where so many movies and shows are made. In Ouarzazate, we will spend the night.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Zagora

Today we will head for Zagora city, passing by the little Atlas Mountains range, Agdez town, the valley of Draa full of palm groves and many palm groves along the way. Upon arriving to Zagora, we will have lunch, before we depart again to Tamegroute.

In Tamegroute, we will visit the old Koranic library. Then we will return to Zagora for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Zagora – Tazarine – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga

In the third day of our journey, we will head to Merzouga. Passing by the Draa valley again, the village of Taftechna, the village of Ait Ouaazique, Tazzarine and Anif, where we will have lunch.

After lunch, we continue our journey, via Rissani town, to get to the famous Merzouga. When we arrive to Merzouga village, we will find the camels waiting for us. We will ride the camels heading to the camp, the ride takes about 90 minutes, you will enjoy the “camel trekking” experience along with the sunset view! The camp where you will spend the night is in the middle of the dunes, with the Berber drum music playing around the fire.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Touroug – Tinjdad – Tinghir

Today we need to wake up early, to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. Then we will get back to the hotel for breakfast and shower. After breakfast, we will drive through Erfoud, Touroug, and Tinjdad, where we will have lunch.

In the afternoon, we continues towards the Todra Gorges and spend the night there. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

 Day 5: Tinghir – Boumalne – Dades gorges – Roses valley – Kelaa Mgouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate

On the fifth day of our journey, we will walk about one hour in the palm plantation of Tinghir. Next, we head to boumalne, and the Dades Gorges where we will have lunch.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Ait Youl Kasbah. Then we head to kelaa Mgouna, or the rose capital like Moroccan call it. Next, we drive to Skoura town to visit the Amridil Kasbah, finally we get to Ouarzazate where we will spend the night.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

We will start our day by having breakfast. After that, we will discover Ouarzazate city, the city is mostly known by the growing film industry, and its amazing cinematic studios which we will pay a visit of course. In Ouarzazate, we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah too before leaving to Marrakech, where we will drop you off.
